The opening Birmingham & District Cross Country League meeting of the season took place at Plock Court in Gloucester last Saturday (12th).

Out of a 182 strong field, Jon Biddle was our highest placed athlete in 49th. Tom Eustace, Craig Pearson and Phil Wolfe all finished within a few seconds of each other in 57th, 60th and 61st respectively. Lee Rogers came 82nd, Andy Cotterill 107th and Paul Lester 114th. Mark Green came 127th and Tom Orton 129th.

On Sunday, our younger athletes travelled to Newbold Revell in the West Midlands Young Athletes Cross Country League. Our U15G finished fourth on the day with Georgia Griffiths leading the team home in 2nd place. She was supported by Ella Beeson (22nd), Aimee Waters (44th), Delilah Dempsey (58th) and Robyn Lee (60th).

Will Hadley was our only competitor in the U11B race, finishing 75th and his brother, Jack came 21st in the U15B.

Beth Beeson finished an excellent 13th in the U13G race and Daisy Cowlishaw came 99th.
