Four Cannock & Stafford athletes represented their areas at the Masters Inter Area Challenge at Nuneaton last weekend. Mitch Blundell, Darrell Wilde and Emma Hollinshead competed for the Midlands and Mark Shepherd for Welsh Masters.

Mark Shepherd had a good day with three pbs (at least since the introduction of the Powerof10), finishing fourth in the M50 400m in 61.3, fifth in the 1500m in 4:43.86 and also jumping 3.93 in the long jump.

Mitch Blundell came second in the 1500m in 4:19.33 and also filled a gap in the hammer, throwing 11.80m.

Darrell Wilde and Emma Hollinshead competed in the 400m with Darrell finishing fifth in the M50 race in 62.7 and Emma second in the W50 with a season’s best 69.30.
